"During my project, God allowed me to see some amazing things. To give a brief backstory, two months before I left for project were some of the worst of my life. 3-4 weeks before I left, I had contemplated the purpose of life and whether God was even real, and whether He even cared about me. Then I go went on Summer Project and He took my rocked, unorganized, selfish world that I had created around myself, and He gracefully fashioned it around His plan to where I could see His greatness shining through. With that being said, He gave me vision to see angels on this trip. Two buddies and I were meeting with one of our friends, and we were hoping to get a quiet spot to share the Gospel because sharing the Gospel is illegal where we were. Well we didn’t. We got put right at the top of the stairs, where tons of people were passing by. We also went into it knowing that the guy we were talking to just was not “getting it”. No matter how many times we explained it, he couldn’t grasp the love of God. I sat across the table and thought to pray for an army of angels to come rushing down and simply help him understand. A few minutes later it happened. As soon as my ministry partner got into the Gospel this time, the entire room lit up. Our table was surrounded with an aura that I cannot explain other than no one outside could hear or see exactly what we were talking about. Then an angel, clothed in white, came hovering down and put his hands on Thomas’s shoulders. At the instant the angel’s hands touched Thomas’s shoulders, Thomas began to understand everything clearly. It was incredible. But after he understood everything, my ministry partner transitioned into asking if he wanted to accept Jesus into his heart. As he made that transition, the angel receeded back into the corner of the room and the aura that surrounded our table left as well. It was almost as if I had to breathe again - assuming that breathing wasn’t something I had to worry about when the angel was there. Thomas did not accept Christ that day because he had to think about the gravity of the decision he was making. It really showed us how God has His own timing for everything. The story didn’t end there though because we were able to meet up with him and Thomas did eventually make the decision to accept Christ. However, those 2 weeks of him deciding really taught us how God has His Plan and that He can do so incredibly much more than we ever care to dream. If we only believe in His Power, and take a minute to open our eyes long enough to see it, it is incredible what God is going to show us. There are things going on all around us that we never notice, and sometimes it takes going around the world to figure out that we simply need to open our eyes and listen. God is good, plain and simple."
